ED attaches assets worth Rs 3.36 Cr belonging to Panna Lal Mahto, others under PMLA Act, related to offenses of Human Trafficking

Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached assets worth 3 Crore 36 lakh rupees belonging to Panna Lal Mahto alias Ganjhu and others under Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) Act, related to the offenses of Human Trafficking.

ED initiated the investigation on the basis of FIRs and chargesheet registered by Anti Human Trafficking Unit of Khunti district in Jharkhand.


ED has also provisionally attached assets of over 27 lakh rupees belonging to family members and associates of Dilip Sahni from Bihar under the PMLA Act. Dilip Sahni is an active member of CPI (Maoist). ED initiated money-laundering investigation on the basis of FIRs lodged in various Police Stations of Bihar.

ED said that scrutiny of the FIRs and Charge sheets revealed that he is a habitual offender and is accused of several offenses under Indian Penal Code, Arms Act, Explosive Substances Act and unlawful activities for the crime related to murder, attempt to murder, Criminal Conspiracy , use of Arms and Ammunition among others in Bihar.
