220 children admitted in Kendriya Vidyalayas under PM Cares for Children Scheme

220 children have been admitted in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) under the PM Cares for Children Scheme in the country. The PM Cares for Children Scheme provides comprehensive care and protection of children who have lost their parent(s) to the Covid pandemic.

In a written reply in Lok Sabha today, Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan said under this scheme, such children have been provided support in a sustained manner to empower them through education and equip them for self-sufficient existence with financial support on reaching 23 years of age.
