Lucknow: The dead body of a married woman was found hanging in the Kursi area of Lucknow on Thursday. The woman’s husband has been arrested by the police on suspicion of murder.
According to the police, the woman, identified as Sheela Verma, was married to Manoj Verma for the past 10 years and the couple had two children. On Thursday morning, Sheela’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in their house.
The police were informed of the incident by the woman’s neighbours. When the police arrived at the scene, they found that the woman’s husband Manoj was present in the house. The police suspect that Manoj may have murdered his wife and then made it look like a suicide by hanging her body from the ceiling fan.
The police have arrested Manoj and are questioning him in connection with the case. The woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
