Bareilly: The dead body of a fraudster was found hanging on a tree in the Khaparpura area of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Akhilesh Kumar, a resident of the Bhura locality in Bareilly.
According to police sources, Akhilesh Kumar was a habitual offender and had been involved in numerous cases of cheating and fraud. The police also said that he was involved in a case of land fraud that had led to a dispute between two parties.
The incident came to light when some passersby spotted the body hanging from the tree and informed the police. The police immediately reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
The family of the deceased has been informed and his body has been sent for post-mortem. The police are also questioning some of Akhilesh’s acquaintances to find out more about the circumstances leading to his death.
The police are considering all angles, including the possibility of murder. They are also examining the CCTV footage from the area to identify any suspects.
