Aligarh: According to the news published in Amar Ujala, an Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) student was dragged to a distance by a ‘bandi van’ (a small goods carrier) in Aligarh’s Harigarh area on Wednesday. The student’s name is Abdul Sattar, and he is a resident of Moradabad.
As per the reports, Abdul Sattar was going to his home on Wednesday when he was hit by a ‘bandi van’. The van’s driver did not stop the vehicle and dragged him to a distance. After realizing that Abdul was under the vehicle’s wheel, the driver stopped the vehicle, and the locals immediately reached the spot and tried to rescue the student.
Abdul Sattar was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and doctors declared him dead on arrival. After this tragic incident, the atmosphere in the area became tense, and the police reached the spot to control the situation.
The incident has caused an uproar among the students of Aligarh Muslim University, and they have demanded strict action against the driver of the ‘bandi van’.
